Extreme Blog Makeover ....

'Sigh', even though I haven't had any visitors here, yet, I'm still quite hopeful!  I hadn't quite finished getting this page set up either, so I suppose I am grateful that no one has happened onto this site at this point!  I still have things to add, and I do want to begin posting more photos and recipes soon!  Family matters have kept me away from my blogging the past few months, but I've found some time to begin again and work at getting things caught up over here.

For now, I'd like to share a recipe that will serve to warm you during these cool evenings ... hot cocoa!  And who can resist a nice cozy cup of cocoa!  I found this recipe on the Taste of Home website, and have yet to make it ... oh, but it is on my list for this weekend!  I've made a similar recipe, but this mix has an added ingredient ... chocolate pudding mix!  Might be quite tasty!  Hope you enjoy!!

Hot Cocoa Mix

6 - 2/3 cups nonfat dry milk powder

1 cup instant chocolate drink mix

1 package (5 oz.) cook-and-serve chocolate pudding mix

1/2 cup confectioners' sugar

1/2 cup powdered non-dairy creamer

1/2 cup baking cocoa

Additional Ingredients:

1 cup boiling water

Optional Ingredients:

Miniature Marshmallows
Cool Whip

Directions:

In large bowl, combine the first 6 ingredients.
Store in an airtight container in a cool dry place for up to 3 months.
Yield: 21 batches - {about 7 cups total}

To prepare hot cocoa:

Stir mix before measuring.
In a pan, dissolve 1/3 cup cocoa mix to 1 cup boiling water
{I make more than one cup}
Pour into your favorite cocoa mugs.
If desired, top with miniature marshmallows, or Cool Whip

Be blessed, and enjoy your cozy cup of cocoa ... I know I will!!

Thanks for the visit to my Rock4Today blog!

This cocoa recipe looks delicious. I think I shall have to copy it and put it in my recipe book. (I just finished a cup of "no sugar added" hot chocolate made with coffee before I read your recipe!)

Thanks for your visits to Rock4Today and Joy4Today!

Your hot chocolate recipe sounds delicious. I'd never heard of pudding mix in it before, but it would probably add a nice viscosity to it.

I'll wait it a little while, since I still walk in shorts here in California. But your blog is heart warming!
